Rapido is definitely a market creator for bike taxis, But if they had done something in their initial days itself to make it legal and avoid repercussions of authorities on bike owners. I don't know how they would have achieved it, but these bike taxis have been a reason for reduction of income to yellow board vehicles, causing a negative impact. Apart from that I would say they have pretty much understood consumer behaviour as well as rider behaviour and built an better platform for both. Today I took a ride in Rapido Cab Premium (AC) for Rs180, where uber was asking 270 for UberGo and 90rs for Auto.

Would you prefer "nano" type taxi fleet services if they provided aur conditioned, safer commute than the rapido style taxis and cheaper than traditional ola uber? What would you use this service usually for?

VCs are hypocrite. Bike Taxis were never legal under Motor Vehicle Act in any state. Still Rapido introduced it, VCs funded it heavily with nearly 5,000+ Crore. And now its banned. Why no cry from VCs now ? Did they not validate it before investing
