Tried Bike Taxi for the First Time — Here's What Happened So today I finally decided to try out a bike taxi for a quick commute. I wanted to see which app gives the best overall experience — Uber, Rapido, or Ola. And here's how that little adventure went! Started off with Uber, which was showing the lowest fare — just around ₹33 after a discount. Looked like a steal, so I booked it. But what seemed like a smart choice quickly turned into a waiting game. Despite the "5 min" ETA, no rider accepted the trip for 15 whole minutes. I eventually gave up. Next, I switched to Ola. It showed a slightly higher fare (₹37), but to my relief, someone accepted the ride fairly quickly. Only issue? The wait time was still 8 minutes, which isn’t ideal when you're in a rush. Finally, I opened Rapido. Slightly more expensive (₹43), but guess what? The moment I hit "Book Bike", it got assigned instantly. Literally no wait. The bike showed up in just a few minutes, and off I went. What I realized from this? While Uber and Ola might be offering cheaper rides, they’re clearly struggling to get riders on board — which ends up hurting the customer experience. On the other hand, Rapido seems to have figured out the right balance between what the customer wants and what keeps the rider interested. It’s not just about being the cheapest; it’s about actually getting the ride when you need it. First experience with bike taxis — and Rapido definitely won this round. Do y'all also find rapido extremely convenient even though it's the youngest one amongst them?
