This is how I am tackling my Instagram and scrolling addiction. This method is inspired by the strategies from Atomic Habits. I have stuck two checkboxes with dates on my tabletop, and every day I mark one box and commit not to use the application from anywhere—not even from Chrome. This method has actually helped me track and tackle the problem. It is working. Earlier, I used to start scrolling whenever I had even a moment of spare time.
