In 2003, a major crisis hit Cadbury when worms were found in Dairy Milk chocolate bars. The company said, what is our fault in this ? And they saw that their sales had fallen by 20-25% and the food agency also said that your packaging is not right. But they made such a comeback, that every brand could learn from them. After spending crores of rupees, they got machines from abroad. Changed the packaging and called the countries most trusted face/celebrity Amitabh Bachchan and made the advertisement from him. To regain consumer trust, Cadbury implemented Project Vishwas, where managers conducted regular checks at retail stores to monitor product quality and distribution. And they did it on such a large scale with such huge marketing that within just 6 months their sales started recovering. And Cadbury gave an example of how to comeback if things go wrong.
