See in india many women run their own small business but they reach only customers around their locality. They are unable to reach a larger audience due to a lack of FINANCIAL RESOURCES and ADVERTISING EXPERIENCE. To tackle this problem, Cadbury came up with a brilliant strategy. They purchased all of the ad slots in newspapers, social media, and traffic billboards. However, they ran ads for small, female-owned businesses for an entire week and They even assisted the women in creating their digital store. Boom!!! Out of the box? More like out of the park! This campaign is an absolute grand slam for Cadbury on multiple levels: -Earns incredible positive sentiment rarely seen for a CPG brand -Creatively reinforces their brand positioning around sharing/generosity -Efficiently activates countless microinfluencers within their target market -Generates treasure trove of user-generated content to extend campaign -Drives measurable business impact by trialing new digital channels The only risk I could see is potentially coming across as disingenuous if this was just a flash in the pan stunt versus an ongoing commitment.

Campaigns like this show marketing can be so much more than pushy sales tactics. When done with authentic purpose, it's an opportunity to create positive change. Definitely one of the marketing highlights of the year - Cadbury deserves all the praise for thinking sooo originally.

For Cadbury, a brand centered around gifts, sharing, and bringing people together, what better way to showcase that than by sharing their voice with small businesses? Not only is the idea novel and sure to earn tons of positive PR, but it's an incredibly efficient form of marketing by leveraging other entrepreneurs' networks. Every small business owner, their families/friends, and customers now have a upgraded affinity for Cadbury.
