Welcome to OUT OF THE BOX MARKETING! EP=19 (Adidas) 32% of women worldwide do not feel comfortable swimming in public pools. Nearly 90% of Middle Eastern women avoid swimming in public pools because they are afraid that people might make fun of them. So, Adidas implemented a strategy to handle this issue. They built liquid billboards (as shown in the image below) in Dubai and asked all the women to swim inside them, also they advised the participants "Don't care what people think about you." This became an instant smash, many ladies started using their liquid billboards to swim inside it and Adidas went viral on social media. But you could question, 'Why did they execute this marketing campaign'? It's all because Adidas recently released their swimsuit for ladies, and everything was done to promote it and gain a good social image.
