The Man Who Built and Sold his Companies to Coca-Cola and Tata. In the early 1980s, Ramesh Chauhan observed a growing demand in the Indian market, not for water, but for something more invigorating. In 1984, he established Parle Agro with the belief that every sip of a beverage could bring happiness to people's lives. Brands like Frooti and Appy gained widespread popularity, bringing joy to millions with their delicious taste. In 1993, Coca-Cola proposed to acquire Parle Agro, prompting Ramesh to see it as an opportunity to expand his vision. Consequently, he made the courageous decision to sell his cherished company to the global beverage giant. Ramesh's entrepreneurial journey continued in 1995 when he entered the bottled water industry, launching Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. Bisleri swiftly became renowned for its commitment to purity and excellence. In 2020, Tata Group, a prominent player in the business arena, announced its acquisition of Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd.
