Last week, I came across a few portfolios where both terms were used interchangeably. But in reality, they solve very different problems. A Brand Designer focuses on how a brand communicates - visuals, layouts, campaigns, social media presence, and consistency across every touchpoint. While a Brand Identity Designer builds the foundation - the logo, typography, colour palette, and systems that define how a brand looks and feels. Both roles need strategy, creativity, and empathy - but their outputs are different and indeed interconnected. One sells the story. The other builds the face. Which one aligns more with your creative path?
