Zomato generated revenue from P**n sites!😵 Yes, Check this out ! ⬇️ It's 2015, Zomato struggled to earn revenue, therefore they implemented one Dark Trick. 🤫 The cost of running advertisements for Zomato was --> Meta: ₹17.5 per click --> Google ads: ₹23.5 per click --> P*** sites: ₹1.75 per click So they opted to go with p**n sites because clearly it was dirt cheap. The response was overwhelming; they received 200% more exposure and 20 times more responses than traditional ads. The funny part is that they ran advertisements just between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. (iykyk). Later, they had to stop doing this because they received backlash and it was not a sustainable approach to establish a positive long-term brand reputation. It might’ve worked in the short term, associating your brand with p*rn hubs is risky long-term. Like image these posts, if it gets viral.. It takes years to build brand trust and 3 seconds of bad PR to blow it up. Zomato got lucky it didn’t backfire harder. India's suvha a conservative market, won't be shocked if their shares tank

People love to act shocked, but this was pure performance marketing hustle. If your CAC drops by 90% and conversions 20x, it’s not unethical, it’s efficient. It’s not like they were selling explicit content, just placing ads where the traffic was cheap.😂
