How do companies like Facebook, Swiggy, Zomato and Amazon make money in India, when most Indians don't even make money? See India, has a lower per capita income than Bangladesh and it makes it hard for tech companies to monetise but When you can’t make revenue from the consumer’s money, you will have to make money from the consumer’s time. This is much more likely to happen in 3rd world countries or places where time is not valued. People in India don’t mind advertisements, they are happy to watch ads for 10 minutes for 30 minutes of serials or listen to ads between every 4 songs. That's why most companies use advertisement as an avenue to monetise their customers, it could be the Times of India, Flipkart, zomato, cred OR Hotstar all of them leverage ads to make money The advertisement business isn’t an exposure business, it’s a business of hope for advertisers, Because of which I believe every tech company will be an Ad-tech company, they will have the business of ads involved - it will be a feature.
