This soap brand turned Roti into the world's largest advertisement. Let's see how it developed: Every year 11 million children die from diarrhea in many developing countries, and the solution is quite simple: wash your hands with soap. To position this brand as a solution to this issue, they opted for an unconventional marketing strategy at Mahakumbh, the world's largest cultural gathering with over 100 million visitors, choosing roti, served with every Indian meal. Over traditional marketing, They made special heat stamps to print this message on every roti: "Did you wash your hands with Lifebuoy?" By stamping this message, they transformed roti into a powerful reminder at the perfect moment, right before eating. over 30 days, millions of rotis were stamped, reaching five million people. And guys, the total cost of this campaign was just $36,000, less than one cent per person. But its return on investment was even more impressive: the campaign went global, garnering 79 million media views worldwide, valued at $15.9 million in free media coverage. That's an ROI of 1600 times. Isn't that amazing? while other brands are making AR, VR and multimillion dollar ads, Lifebuoy has shown that impactful marketing doesn't have to be expensive; a simple roti can convey a powerful message.
