Honestly, just delete the app and use it's web version if there's any important stuff that you need to do. or you can also Download an app called Stayfree which allows you to block certain sections of the app like Reels etc

try installing a apk with 2 factor authentication. (which doesn't allow any reels, explore etc.. ) only chats. this helps you to stop the addiction. and read for 30 min at start, gradually increase it. the remaining time do something you like, watering plants, clearing the cupboard etc... this might help.

use this application called your hours it will lock your Instagram and every time you open it you will have a timer on your app showing as a pop up . I used it for a month and ended up uninstalling instagram after a month ! happy to announce now i am free of social media 🤣 for an year now !! wohooooo

I use instagram for work sometimes so I deleted the app and only use the web version. Helped me free up quiet a bit of time during the day. On a side note I am scared of the current generation having exposure to social media through their formative years. I see my nephew always on insta, he’s 13. I think these kids will have attention deficiencies and they’ll lack patience due to the instant gratification they’re getting used to.

try using instagram from browser never on app that way u don't feel like u r restricting urself from using that but trust me ur usage will get down to 1hr a day

Remove Icon from home screen and dig it into some folders

I have been using Regain app for focus mode, it allows you to put blocks, while allowing 5 min use for emergencies. I have placed to block between 11AM to 5PM and 12AM to 5AM in the morning. I currently on a 60 day streak. It's going great!

Set a screen time limit or hide the app away in a folder to reduce your screen time. It actually worked for me.
