Grew up in a middle-class family in Delhi, with values of hard work instilled by her parents. Completed engineering at IIT Madras and MBA at IIM Ahmedabad, graduating in 2007. Turned down a ₹1 crore job offer to pursue her passion for entrepreneurship. Co-founded two startups before SUGAR Cosmetics: Quetzal (2007): A recruitment services company that faced scaling challenges and shut down. Fab Bag (2012): A subscription-based beauty service that provided insights into the beauty market and customer preferences. Co-founded SUGAR Cosmetics in 2015 with Kaushik Mukherjee, identifying a market gap for beauty products suited to Indian skin tones. Focused on long-lasting, high-quality products and began with a D2C e-commerce strategy. Expanded into over 45,000 retail outlets across 550+ cities in India., SUGAR Cosmetics achieved a valuation of over ₹1,500 crores by 2023. Raised over $85 million in funding, backed by investors like Elevation Capital and L Catterton. Built a brand that resonates with modern, independent women, becoming a household name in India's beauty market.
