Sugar Cosmetics was founded by Vinita Singh and kaushik Mukherjee in 2012. Vinita and her co founder inspired to start Sugar Cosmetics by the beauty subscription business in US and UK. Vinita and kaushik's vision to start Sugar Cosmetics is to deliver affordable and high quality cosmetics to young people. Before Sugar Cosmetics, Vinita had failed to launch two more startups. Vinita had even rejected a ₹1 crore package job from a multinational company. Vinita also got rejection from many investors for funding for Sugar Cosmetics. Sugar Cosmetics had made a revenue of ₹505.10 crore in FY 24 which is 20% more than FY23. As of July 2024, the valuation of Sugar Cosmetics is ₹4100 crore.
