๐ฐ The dollar's share in international transactions has hit a 12-year high at 49.1% ๐๐ต. But thereโs a catch. ๐ถ While the dollar gained 5% over two years, the euro plummeted by 18%, from 39% to 21%. Essentially, the U.S. is pulling the rug out from under its European allies, redistributing the balance to maintain its dominance. However, the shift is unevenโ13% of the euro's share has vanished. ๐ Some of it went to the yuan, which rose from 2% to 5%, but most of the drop went to payments in national currencies. Thereโs no global de-dollarization happeningโbut only because the euro was sacrificed first. The pace of de-euroization is accelerating rapidly. ๐๐ช๐บ
