Ever heard of Soham Parekh? He recently went viral after being accused by Silicon Valley founders—like Playground AI’s Suhail Doshi—of secretly working at 3–5 US startups at the same time, many backed by Y Combinator . Doshi even shared Parekh’s résumé, calling it “90% fake” and warning others: > “PSA: …there’s a guy named Soham Parekh (in India) who works at 3–4 startups at the same time… Beware.” The internet exploded—some called him a “moonlighting genius,” others slammed him as a scammer . Parekh later reached out privately, asking how to rebuild and saying he’s now committed to one startup as a founding engineer . 🤔 What do you think? A misfit genius outsmarting the system? Or a red flag showing the flaws in remote-hiring? This raises huge questions for distributed teams and resume vetting in today’s remote-work world.
