Dear all, Seeking your supportive input. I plan to start a software solutions LLP alongside my current job (I can not leave it as I am the sole earner in family but require to start planning for a better future alongside down the yeara). I do not shy away from the x% of hardwork required in the journey but want to know from the experienced people here - 1. % of trouble I might run into legally if i keep it hidden and my product/services starts making money? 2.Kind of conflict I might face from current company or future company in case they really get aware of my side business? 3.From people into freelancing - how do you guys manage the finance part (i.e., the money you receive from the client : does it cause any problem to company via your PAN association or so??) Point 3 might not be that clear, but I hope you got the picture: just that whatever money we get from freelancing - any way our organization to know that we are doing so? I thank you for your time, input, and support.

Do not start LLP on your name. Do not share your this plan with your any of the office colleague. Info leak will happen. If you don't collect any kinda of money from your LLP on your name, it's impossible to track. So collect money on your wife's name (if married), mother, father. etc.

I've been in a similar situation. Legally, you’re in a gray area if your company has a policy against side businesses. If your employer finds out, they could see it as a conflict of interest, even if you’re not in direct competition. But if you’re careful and keep things separate, it can be manageable

Going stealth mode could be risky. If your current company has strict policies, they might see it as a conflict of interest, especially if your business grows but the goal is to grow it enough to be able to quit your job so go for it.

if your company has a strict policy on this, I’d recommend being transparent. Sometimes companies are okay with side businesses as long as it doesn’t interfere with work.

Whatever you do, avoid using your current job’s resources or time for your side business. If they find out, they can use that against you. Keeping everything separate is key, especially when it comes to client communication

I think the verify your current company functionality should give the options to edit the company tld and the internally used tld in some cases is always different then the one being used publicly. For eg my current company has over 30+ web property
