this is a very well known strategy. having only one vending machine might get get 100 sales person day but installing two machines, selling two different brands will force the consumer to decide which one to purchase and sales will automatically double for both the machines. this is because have only one option the consumer have to choose between buy it or not but when there is another option the consumer will think which one to buy.
