Bigbasket, as a company, has decided to grow slow, without spending money on acquisition (from an interview). Dmart is targeted towards a different segment altogether. As to market share, avg bills at dmart seem to be 10x compared to that of quick comm (600/-). The highest amount of shopping happens at supermarket. Don't be surprised if BB opens own stores.
