In my pov in water industry there's no brand, there's just distribution. And bislery and kinley are the distribution king. However as this industry is commoditized and run on very low margin there are lots of local players whose are giving away large portion of their profit margin to the distributors. Thus nowadays we can barely see original bislery and kinley. There are space for mass premium water brand if positioned clearly. TAM would be definitely small compared to local players.

Aquafina by CocaCola too. I think it’s a really barrier-less market to enter, but to sustain, i am not very sure, until your master in distribution and marketing.

Water industry is commodetized and there is barely chance of competing with low margins . Water industry is distribution game. What can be innovative is ads on bottle just like in US but it's not sustainable as well

You can easily start their you can Target railway stations the places near railway stations and bus stands sell all the brands which are unheard of

It really depends on distribution strategy,I have not seen kinley / Bisleri as the first choice of shopkeeper ,cus local brands give them more margin making them an dominating player.

I have seen smart brand very much recently. What I find very irritating is in Chennai Central you don't find kinley or any water brand except that untasty railway water bottles. That really made me sad.

I see more Bizlari than bisleri! I think it's still unorganised! Regional Brands are doing well here like MSMEs

Though it is dominated. I’ve heard of mass premium water company getting funded recently. For sure bisleri and kinley dominate the organised market.
