Kunal Shah definitely knows how to build a product, gain users, keep them happy for a short time, and then fuck up when it comes to pivot. As a user of CRED, I don’t see any other utility apart from paying all CC bills at the same place but there are a lot of apps that enable the same.

CRED is sitting on massive data and everyone knows, in this century data is more than anything. They can launch as many products related to finance. About the product selling it’s just running the show just to get the products and purchasing data

It is Overvalued startup but had a great future in long-run..

For my point of view Cred is so fast and secure for credit card management But the store inside is not at all safe I ordered some goods from there with the coins and my own money But nothing is delivered and it's been 3-4 months Even I can't Check my order So my point is you can use it as credit card management and UPI also . But nothing is soooooo unique for us here.

After being lured in by the fancy ads and community talk, I joined the app about 6 to 7 months ago, only to find it's just another UPI app with nothing exclusive. Since installing it, I've never felt its necessity. Here's why: 1. Despite claims of selling premium products, it primarily offers cheap Chinese goods. There's a lack of branded items and variety, with only a few Shark Tank featured brands available. 2. The app has shifted focus from being a credit card app to simply another UPI platform with a mediocre e-commerce store. 3. The reward system is abysmal; Cred coins hold little to no value, and the in-app games resemble those found in online gambling and betting apps, offering minimal rewards. Honestly, I believe Paytm has achieved what Cred aims for. Even I've switched back to Paytm for all my financial activities, but then all paytm bank issue happened.

If we divide India into 3 parts based on the spending power. Then we get india 1,2,3. India 1 has highest spending power accounting for almost all premium purchases. If any brand becomes favourite of this group of people, that brand becomes goldmine, cred is this group's favourite. They just need figure out ways to get this audience spend on their brand, but the brand loyalty they have earned is really valuable and monetisable.

CRED, with its unique rewards-focused model,it is focused on tapping into the high-end niche market and promoting financial responsibility through its reward-based credit card payment platform.

People on the platform are elite/ tend to show good behavior with money and are trust worthy coz they pay their bills on time and not everyone can enter the app. This is a great community CRED doesn't need to do anything simply Crosssell products, show ads, lend money all of this and anything will work. Especially their p2p lending will work like magic as people will almost never default. I love the fact that kunal takes care of his employees really well close to 300cr in employee benefits and investors trust him coz he know his shit. The higher valuation CRED has and is making loss makes people think as is its a failure. The users of the app are absolute gold mine not just in one way this audience can be monetized in infinite number of ways.

Cred is an interesting product and it needs a competitor. Cred fetch any random details of your cards, car, bikes, electrity bill etc. It's a shitty app. They do no solve any big problem or provide any value except manipulating you to play their quizes, run their wheel or you can say they want their investors to see how many customers are engaging on a daily basis. It's a shitty idea, though for an engagement. I would love use an app similar to this where they respect their customer and verify every bills from the customers. Regarding, Kunal...he's like Pablo Escobar of Genz club.

lending space should really work out for them seeing their npa, i believe they will turn out to become a super app for finance. But its exclusive anymore, cred coins and their store is the most useless thing ever.

The startup is struggling I saw Kunal's interview people are buying anything cheap on the app!

I think that the way they are expanding into so many categories so fast without being prominent in any is a big worry for present and future of cred. Now the thing is that kya sirf witty marketing se kaam chalega?? Thats what I’m waiting to see.

How can they make money??? They cant be making money as commission in credit card bills They can take commission in normal bill payments. Yes they will get commission via the conversion of ad vouchers Considering they have all the affluent class of india as their Users They can get into INSURANCE space considering their recent venture into something related to CARS. They have access to all our financial data. So they can better target their ads.. down the line. Hw else can they make money?

They can be very big , their target audience has lot of money to spend. Cred for me is a central place to pay all my bills. Once a while I'll buy something small from there. Theier acquisition of kuvera tell they'll be soon launching something in mutual fund space. It's will look like super finance app in future, everything related to money/transactions in one app. I'm optimistic about it.

It is a misconception, it has good target audience. Making money out the general public is very tough compared to only catering to rich people whcih is a better market.
