𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐲’s 𝐍𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄 — 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭? I just saw an ad for Swiggy's new brand, NOICE. They have their own line of products now — packaged snacks, bread, stuff like that. My first thought: “Oh, that’s kinda cool.” Then my brain connected the dots and I got a little uneasy. It’s one thing to be a platform that helps other brands reach customers. It’s another when you start making your own products to compete on the same platform. Reminds me of Amazon Basics — people were furious because it felt like Amazon used marketplace data to undercut sellers. Swiggy has tons of data — which bread sells best, which snacks people order at 3 AM... Will they use that to push NOICE more? Preferential placement? Better discounts? It all feels a bit murky. I love using these apps, but this feels like a conflict of interest. As a user I want the best products, but I also worry for small/local brands trying to make a living on Instamart. What do you think — standard business move or a little shady? 🧐 Would you buy NOICE? Drop your thoughts below.
