Hey I am on Medial • 26d

you still didn't get it right when it comes to cost. Let's take this example. 1) You're a single person running the whole company: - Customers order groceries and you hypothetically make 30% margin. - That's still not a good deal but works. 2) Now you're running a whole company. - You pay a coder to maintain the app, an advertiser to make ads and then also spend on advertising, you buy a store for storing the goods & pay for rent, then delivery partners for Actually delivering and you also need to handle customer support and refunds and also offer discounts. - In this case, is a mere 30% margin on goods enough? Running an QCOM platform is way different from running an ecom platform. The costs just shoot up a lot and you have to over pay for everything (delivery guys, rent, etc). And even Amazon India is STILL NOT profitable btw. So it's not easy to make margins on small orders. Also they do pay each delivery guy around ₹25 in normal days and double during rain. I ask them a lot.

Success is rented. And the rent is due every day. Show up. Pay it. Repeat.
