While India’s whey protein market is growing, it remains a very small, niche (USD 180 M) but higher-priced segment focused on fitness and nutrition. In contrast, fortified/immunity-based drinks, functional beverages, and general health/non-alcoholic drinks are mass-market giants worth tens of billions USD, with far stronger growth rates. And a ready to make in this category should be still smaller to sustain.
