Meet Kamaljit Kaur, a 51-year-old entrepreneur from Ludhiana, who turned a personal health challenge into a thriving business. After recovering from COVID-19 in 2020, Kamaljit was inspired to create pure, organic desi ghee using the traditional Bilona technique, known for its health benefits, though it is a time-consuming process. With an initial investment of ₹8 lakh, she launched Kimmu's Kitchen, focusing on quality and authenticity. Kamaljit began production in Thane, Maharashtra, but due to poor milk quality, she decided to move operations to her hometown of Ludhiana, where she could ensure better raw materials for her ghee. Kimmu's Kitchen offers Bilona ghee in 220, 500, and 1000 ml bottles, with prices starting at ₹399. Despite facing challenges, including fluctuating order volumes, Kamaljit has experienced days with over 100 orders, proving the growing demand for her product. Kamaljit's story is one of resilience, passion, and entrepreneurship.
