Both Market Place and Own Website is two different side of the same coin, for which you need a different marketing strategy to build your business. To build this strategy you need to understand various metrics like your product, brand, customer, customer persona, etc based on which you can Strategically plan your marketing activity to bring in audience and convert them into sale. In simple words, if you want to make you understand- the different marketing strategy- Than understand what will you do if you open your shop in a market place at your local area and what will you do if open the same shop in a place away from the market area.
