Just reminder. Startup idea doesn’t necessarily have to be a ‘mobile app’ or ‘website’. If someone in your area sells women clothes and you realise ‘oh there are no shop for men apparel’. Then in that case roaming around men wholesale clothing market with your friends, family or alone and choosing inventory for your own brand new retail shop in that area is also a ‘startup’. Apps and websites do matter but it’s not everything.

The whole idea of a startup is that it should be scalable and innovative. While offline stuff can be done innovatively, the scalability without a tech platform is next to impossible. So tech kinda is necessary for you to be called a startup.

If what you are telling is also considered as a startup then I guess you might be aware for pre-requisites for registering in Startup India program. With info with yourself try getting the so called startup registered and then you will find what businesses do actually fall into the category of STARTUP.

Starting a retail shop? Just remember, while inventory is important, so is choosing a catchy name, naming it "Men's Wearhouse" might be too on the nose. Just sounds uninspiring
