If you're wondering why you're not able to be efficient at what you want to do , ask yourself if you are already doing it in some other area of your daily life. if yes, you're not even going to think about this. if no , it's probably your first time and yes just understand that you're trying something very new that you haven't done it in any other area of your life. you'll slowly get there. Let me give you an example. Say I promised myself I'm gonna run 5km for the next 10 days. you necessarily don't have to do it perfectly , just showing up will make you understand what it means to show up. if I'm gonna say nah this doesn't even make sense, I'm probably gonna be giving up on any other work that I wanna do , when it gets boring. We are all humans and this is literally normal. The goal is to live life as the same version in all areas of life and not in multiple versions when it comes to each area. Instill discipline in some area of your life and watch it do the magic.
