Google, like many others, started in a crowded space. But what set them apart early on was their approach to defensibility: superior algorithm, clean UX, and relentless focus on performance. The moat wasn’t obvious on day one, but the foundation was being laid. The post isn’t about having a complete moat at launch - it’s about having a strategy to get there. Investors who never ask about that? Red flag.
