We did a pivot to save our company! We started as an experience gifting platform that was a gifting marketplace for experiences like fine dines, salons, spa, etc Raised a VC round and initially got traction but soon realised that the high CAC and frequency in the space would be a killer. Talking to our customers (who apparently were corporate employees) showed us a slightly pivoted opportunity, a bigger fish to fry - Corporate Experiences. We did a pilot run with a few clients and realised that this is a huge value add and a much bigger market opportunity and eventually did the pivot. Been around 6 months with the pivoted business and serving 15+ B2B clients and growing! Learning - Keep talking to your customers for understanding pain points that you can solve. Pivoting at the right time is extremely necessary if you hit a dead end.
