I am building an AI based platform that can read and selsct resumes based on the matching algorithms such as cosine similarity to give matching scores for candidate resumes against job desc. The platform can provide users with sourcing analytics and a complete automation of Recruitment workflow. I was wondering if job boards Luke Naukri and indeed provides APIs to scrape resumes? I understand there might be similar products available but I emphasise on End to End platform at the costs even a small recruitment firm can implement it. A simple interface, options to export data, auto triggering of emails to candidates, etc etc; Your insights are highly appreciated!

Regarding your API question - I work for a recruitment tech company, and I can tell you definitively that Naukri and Indeed don't provide open APIs for resume scraping. They sell access to their candidate databases as a premium service, and they actively fight against unauthorized access. Your only legitimate option is to become an enterprise partner, which typically requires significant investment. Even then, the data usage is heavily restricted. You'd need to build your platform to work with resumes your clients already own or develop partnerships with these job boards, which is extremely difficult for a startup

I'm building something similar and found a completely different approach works better. Instead of scraping external job boards (legal nightmare), we created a lightweight ATS that companies implement on their careers page, giving us first-party data. Then we built our matching algorithms on that. The best data isn't on Indeed anyway - it's either on LinkedIn (impossible to scrape legally) or sitting in companies' existing ATS systems. I'd recommend pivoting to an ATS integration approach rather than trying to scrape job boards.
