Do you know that according to industry estimates, processing UPI transactions costs stakeholders approximately 0.25% of the transaction value. In FY24 alone, these costs amounted to nearly Rs 12,000 crore, with Rs 4,000 crore incurred for transactions below Rs 2,000. ➡️Now Google Pay has started levying a convenience fee 0.5% and 1% on bill payments made using credit and debit cards. ➡️But UPI payments made directly from linked bank accounts will continue to remain free.
