Another day; recalling another incident from my SEO journey. As most of the companies do, My past office was desperate in building backlinks. Each person in the team should do 100 - 120 backlinks per day. And that's our only job. But I was pretty different there, Backlinks parts are fine, but TL didn't even teach us other aspects of SEO voluntarily. So I am the only guy who always asked questions regarding SEO and marketing to the TL. And after seeing me, Everybody started doing the same. But one point of time, For how many months you would survive like this?, Begging for knowledge? Glad that the previous company allowed to learn on YouTube in office hours. (We even listen to songs. Since it was my first IT company, I was so shocked by seeing these types of benefits) I learnt many things on YouTube and its the only thing that bought me up to this stage.. So ok, One day I had a unique backlink strategy which I learnt from internet, it was so good that my TL has to reject this idea😂. But you could have guessed what my silly mind did? I done that anyway! What's the strategy is, It was a OEM camera company, So I decided to create a Personal brand around some person (Which does not exist and not correlated with this company) and portray him as a OEM camera expert, and then write the backlink blogs from his profile. (I could have done the same with in company's page itself. But, While doing the content surrounding the person gives lot more freedom) So I did that in very secret, I compared our product and competitor product in a blog as a THIRD PERSON. And it was massive hit, The blog gained more traction. And as a result, I am the first person in the company to bring warm leads to the company. That specific blog generated 3 High quality leads to the company. Our sales team was frustrated with our team. Anyways, I still kept it secret due to obvious reasons. CMO appreciated our team in general and gave a small hike to all of us. That made me so happy as it is my first ever Hike in my career. After this, I followed this backlink strategy even at present company and it still gives me success. - The End-
