If you target an Indian audience, let's say, there's a chance that many won't even return offline. And even if they do and get a 30% discount coupon, the profit margin of the new product or shirt (let's say) they will buy will be less. And if you think you can just inflate the product price to match the discount, the cost will get high, so there will be fewer new customers, and eventually, older customers will also be repelled to other brands.
