Really nice thought. Choice of points can be picked based on routes but more often people are facing washroom problems especially who are travelling with families in cars and passengers in busses. I can see very big restaurants at some distances but with high cost. But we left with no other option rather paying high. I'm a frequent traveller on highways, so I can see the value of his idea. But people usually don't take food while driving. The purpose of a break is not only food but to give the vehicle a time to cool down and give them a little stretching too. This is just my perspective.

cool idea like McDonald's started drivin, but what's usp ? how will you scale it ? your small food joints needs to be listed on a single platform, there is another challenge with user interface for the local food shops - their less interaction with how technology works , how you plan to solve this ? what's your product the app/franchise/partnership with food vendors ?

Bad idea for most people. Who wants to eat in the car? What happens if something fills? You get down the car and maybe stretch a lil (because you have been sitting for long) on the highway drive. Also, I'm already seeing good restaurants at toll plazas. Just to bring food to your car so that you can eat it inside? IMO, not a great idea.

sounds good I have a similar take on food on highways but the way you say, it will have heavy capex and you're putting too much friction for users. make it simpler.

I’m thinking of starting with five food centers along the 40km Delhi-Gurgaon expressway. These centers will be located just off the road for easy access, with a designated lane where cars can stop. We’ll offer fast food items like burgers, rolls, sandwiches, patties, cold coffee, milkshakes, and mojitos, all prepared within 5-10 minutes. Customers will see our boards and place orders via WhatsApp or our app, where we’ll fetch their live location and direct the order to the nearest center. Once the order is ready, we’ll notify the customer which center to pick up from, and the food will be delivered directly to their car. I don’t want to aggregate restaurants or dhabas that offer dining experiences. Initially, this will be a fast food corner concept, but we could expand to include dine-in options once it grows. The Delhi-Gurgaon expressway is an ideal starting point, given the daily office and college commuters. Investment is needed, but the concept should attract interest.
