The value-driven premiumisation is fascinating from an economic standpoint. It shows that Indian consumers are becoming more sophisticated - they want quality and brand story, but at a price point that makes sense for the local market. This is forcing both international and domestic brands to rethink their pricing and positioning strategies for India, a lot of indian brands capitalising on it too.
