Discord's pivot from a Multiplayer Game to A Gaming Community King So discord was started by two game developer, namely Jason Citron and Stanislav Vishnevskiy. Jason Citron had earlier made a game called OpenFeint which he sold in 2011 for $104 million. He used this money to found a game Development studio called Hammer & Chisel. The studio's first game was Fates Forever, released in 2014, which was the first online multiplayer battle game designed for mobile. (Basically PUBG) Though this game wasn't that hit, one of it's feature that helped gamers talk while playing was liked a lot. Founders realised that and thus after making some changes, they launched Discord as a Standalone Platform in 2015. Using Discord, you can chat and talk with your Gaming friends, play games, and you can also join your favourite youtuber's server and have fun their. Today Discord boasts a 200 million users, $600 Million sales and $15 Billion Validation! Did you ever used it?
