Flickr: From an Online.Game Tool to a Photo Sharing App! Flickr was initially part of an online multiplayer game called Game Neverending, made by Caterina Fake and Stewart Butterfield. That game included a feature allowing players to upload and share photos. Though, that feature proved more popular than the game itself. Recognizing this, they pivoted to focus on photo sharing, launching Flickr in 2004. Flickr quickly became one of the most popular photo-sharing platforms and was acquired by Yahoo for $25 Million in 2005. Though it was sold to Oath in 2017 which later sold it to SmugMug next year. Today, Flickr has more than 112 Million users and allows user to store, share and manage their photos and videos. Did you ever used it?
