I think a short term strain can definitely be a good productivity booster but what really happens is those turn into extended long term periods of overwhelming work the startup space for employees. If some startup can restrict the to a short period while maintaining a good culture overall over a longer horizon, it can definitely grow faster. I could be wrong!
