Ever had a boss who micro-manages every single thing you do? I joined this startup with high hopes, excited about the vision and the team. However, my manager is making it impossible to get anything done efficiently. They’re constantly looking over my shoulder, second-guessing every decision I make, and it’s driving me crazy. It’s gotten to the point where I dread going to work because I know I'll be nitpicked on every task, no matter how small. I’ve tried talking to them about needing more autonomy, but it only seems to make things worse. They insist that this level of oversight is necessary to maintain quality, but it feels more like they don’t trust me or my judgment. I'm starting to lose motivation and confidence in my abilities, which is frustrating because I know I’m capable of doing great work. Has anyone else dealt with a toxic, micro-managing boss? How did you handle it without losing your mind or your job? Any tips for navigating this situation and maintaining my sanity wou

Learn to create boundaries with your boss. Ask them to define your KPIs and Success metrices. How you achieve those metrices is your problem to solve then.
Where can i find a startup to join it has an intern
Start showing some small results if they still do then I prefer to look for other company.

If you are feeling this, then the company must be doing better? They are prioritizing logics beyond emotions, overutilizing staffs to get their things done, heavy control on the product and customers. Unfortunately, isnt this the very reason why you joined the company? The cutthroat growth always mostly comes with aggressive work culture. They have found the way to make you work and be deaf to your problems, it makes you do more for them. You should find your own way out of these if you have to survive there
No job is worth your sanity.
Plot twist: Use this as motivation to start your own company. Be the boss you wish you had!
Try over-communicating for a while. Send daily updates, cc them on emails. They might realize they don't need to hover so much. And if that does not work, try Setting up a 1-on-1 to discuss your work style and how their management style is impacting your performance.
Classic founder syndrome. They can't let go of control. Try framing it as "By micromanaging, you're limiting the company's growth potential" lol
