𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴: 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮?🐼 Remember those SRK ads for Foodpanda in 2015-16? Founded in 2012 in Singapore, it quickly became a leading food delivery platform expanding rapidly in Asia by acquiring existing brands. In India, they purchased TastyKhana.in and Just Eat India in early 2015, achieving around 200,000 daily orders. Despite this growth, they failed so: #What Went Wrong? • Operational Issues: Rapid expansion without building a solid product led to inefficiencies like delivery delays, incorrect orders, and poor coord. with restros. • Frequent Management Changes: After Rocket Internet investment, OG founders started to leave. Not familiar with Rocket Internet, check out my previous Jabong post. • Fierce Competition: By the time they gained momentum under Ola, Swiggy and Zomato had dominated the market. • Financial Struggles: Poor tech infrastructure led to lack of trans. records, allowing exploitation frm cust., Restros to dlivery partner👇
