STARTUP IDEAS 💡 I want an air-conditioned system with max 3000BTU ( portable one) which requires only less amount of energy (using solar panels ) as there is no way to use electricity connection. This system is to be installed in a 40 feet container which is to be divided into 4 with 10 feet lenght each and 1 system belongs to 1 portion. Iam planning to invest more in insulating the container, so the BTU value required for cooling can be reduced and hence the power required is also considerably reduced. Any experts in this field, please help me to figure it out.

I actually did something similar for a portable offgrid workspace setup. Used a 2000 BTU 12V Nomadic Air portable AC powered by 300W solar + 300Ah lithium batteries. Stayed cool even in desert conditions, though batteries needed recharging every few days. The key was using rigid foam insulation boards for all surfaces, thick rubber gaskets on openings, and radiant barrier coatings. Got the cooling load down to where a tiny AC could handle it. You're on the right track thinking insulation-first.

For such a small enclosed space, a 3000 BTU portable AC unit could potentially work if you insulate the container very well as you mentioned. However, running it entirely off solar may be challenging without a large battery bank. My recommendation would be to look into ultra-efficient 12V DC portable ACs designed for offgrid use in RVs/boats. Coupled with some monocrystalline solar panels and a decent lithium battery setup, you could potentially make this work within a reasonable budget. Insulation is key though.
