Posting this as anonymous for a reason. Does anyone suffer from memory related issues? I have terrible working memory where I can hold short term information in my memory for long. This affects me from performing day to day activities. I can't do mental math, remember a new learnt word to add to my vocabulary, forgot instructions people provide me, cannot think on my feet when required to solve a problem. This has affected me a lot in my progress and growth in life. I need to rely on note taking a lot to overcome certain aspects of it. Would like to hear your story as well. Thanks.

I don't know if you are into spiritual stuff. Whatever is that happening in your life be it the decisions you take, the commitments you have down to the minute detail in your daily life, Look at it in a 3rd man perspective. Instead of "I can't remember things." think like "The mind of this body can't remember things". Do the same even If you are good at something. Instead of "I love eating burgers" just look at it as "This mind loves eating burgers". There are no flaws in you. All the flaws are in the material(physical) world in which our body,mind,intellect and senses are part of. [Part 1]

Have you seen the doctor for this issue? If you are having this a lot I believe it's better to consult proper doctor. Memory issue is quite common only this doesn't have to be extreme. Which I think your might be. I can't also do mental maths, forget things so I write what I don't wise to forget but don't face any major issue with this.

You study a lot. Think a lot. The total number of neurons in the brain cannot increase. Only new neuronal connections can be built. Therefore, memory functions are overtaken by new data. The part governing instant memory is actually always waiting for new data. That's good. Your brain is getting stronger day by day. Meditate on different parts and lobes of the brain with different numbers like 1-9 and 0. new or old data will get arranged nicely and the instant memory might return.
