I am currently working as SDE in a company with package of almost 11LPA (Base), which was promised to me as 13LPA (Base) during internship. While converting the HR team told me the packages are revised due to my college being a Teir-3 college. While my colleague are getting 13LPA (Base), where they initially promised 12LPA (Base) bcoz they are from NITs. I feel very cheated and betrayed, I even asked my manager for help and discussed with upper management, their reply was "this was the criteria from start. There must have been some miscommunication". What should I do??

This kinda policies are made by the companies for future hiring. I understand it's more a hit on self respect. Don't take harsh decisions. Time will come in any form to make a come back.

U should have a good offer in your hand with more salary to say ur manager and tell them politely I have good offer I am switching to their.weather u may not wanted to switch but before negotiating for salary u should have other offer else u may get Less salary in other company coz salary depend on circumstances not hardwork or talent, the same job if u do from a foreign company remotely.. U will be paid very high

Directly apply in other companies and look for hike in salaries, in interview of they ask why u r leaving this one, just explain the issue, and uu must be paid according to knowledge and skills not college name and level
