First of all, the required drone size would likely exceed regulations in many parts of the country. Even if permission were granted, operating autonomous drones in Indian cities would be challenging due to congestion and high building density, unlike the situation in Western countries where the mentioned startups operate. The main issue addressed there is the considerable distance between houses, which affects delivery efficiency, a problem not as prevalent in Indian cities where zones could be divided efficiently as a large population lives in a small area, compared to some Western cities where population density might be lower, and people are more spread out over a larger area. Additionally, drones would not be cost-effective as they can carry limited weight, far less than a delivery partner could deliver.
