There is absolutely no need of co-founder if someone is confident enough Only one founder is the best Dont split equity give ESOPs instead This is just an opinion correct me if i am wrong

Co-founder is mostly helpful bcz doing business he no easy task. When there is co-founder burden is split among all co-founders. Also investors generally prefer startups to invest who has 2 or more co-founders in them.
