Another Failed Startup!!🫡👀 Vines: A very Popular social media app that provided 6 second looping video. It was started in 2012 it's peak era was 2013-2014 having 200Million active user during this peak time. Content creators were called " Viners " ( ex popular Viners were " BB KI VINES AND ASHISH CHALCHALANI VINES ) Their major earning was from advertisers. Now the question arises how did it fail ❓🤔 • No monetization facility to Viners which is the major reason as at that time YouTube was giving money to creators and was booming as well • Only 6 second video format: this restricted creators form making unique content After this advertisers lost interest in vine and vine couldn't compete with YouTube and at 2016-2017 they shutted down

I think only 6 second video format was what worked for Vine, the entertainment space already had platforms for long form content (YouTube etc.) Packing comedy into a 6 second clip is challenging and something that audience appreciated
