Firstly they have Google backend support with highly educated team and they have data of billions of people in the world so there is no chance of direct face to face competition. They can easily introduce reforms if they see something great is coming for competition but there is only one way to give Competition. North korea China Banned YouTube and using own social media platforms so If you want to give Competition then ban youtube

Weak Point is YouTube Shorts when I Search for something it Shows Shorts Instead of Videos and Yt Gives Recommendation for already watched shorts.it will easily distract from our main work ,I think there is an extension for these problem but not for a mobile users,lot of people use yt in mobile than pc, laptop,I think there should be an app

1. Throwing shorts on the face. Keep shorts at the shorts tab only and not on the face. They are primarily a video platform, keep that identity, add shorts as bonus, why to push shorts so much! 2. Their algorithm is not cool, should suggest videos on similar topics and a wider horizon rather than showing the same topic videos. Rather than top much shorts on the face, this would improve their user engagement.

Their suggestion video should have 60% channels with less views and sub and 40% as same algorithm which they r running

Just like how medial made discussions categorise into different pods...we need YouTube to do the same

I dont think anyone can do face to face competition with YouTube, as already it has acquired the market and millions of users and it'll be very hard fo give it a competition as this company has insane amoutnt of money and can Introduce new features.

It's recommendation system can be more user centric and better.

Social features of youtube are still weak.

It's mostly the long and annoying ads, rest the algo has been great imo recently.

The main system of making money is this market is through advertisements, or premium. I suggest creating a platform similar like YouTube not identical as YouTube has billions of users and a trusted platform, same for the creators I think it would be nice if you pursue in different ideas
