So yesterday I was watching a random video and when I clicked on the comment section I saw something called as youtube hype.I thought that was some BS update and moved on Today I have seen Chamarti Sreekar bro's post about YouTube removing the trending button and now it made sense. So this is what it is: Youtube's New feature: Hype (quite a long post please purchase patience from zepto to read) -Everybody is a creator post-pandemic. -People are making active / passive income through sharing what they love through long form videos and reels on YouTube. -There are creators whose lives are getting sorted with youtube while some might have just begun to gain traction. -The audience,i mean we might have subscribed to a variety of channels but there are some channels in our list which make us feel that those channels deserve great traction. -And YouTube has come up with the option "Hype" button. 🔥 What the "Hype" about? 🔴For small creators/emerging creators despite having good content still face hurdles to grab a new set of audience.Hype comes into the picture. 🔴Hype is about the action button given to the audience to make their favourite creators who are small or emerging to reach their deserving heights. 🔴All they have to do is click the hype button and points will be given to the video so that the algo pushes the video based on the points that it has received. Hence the video gets pushed as more points get added putting itself into the WEEKLY LEADERBOARD. So every week you have a chance to become famous. More about "the hype": 📍 It is a limited beta test, currently working in some countries. 📍 Users can hype a video 3 times a week.It can be for the same video or 3 different videos. 📍 At present it's free and YouTube is planning to make a purchase hype points enabling creators to get more revenue. 📍 Hype feature is available to creators having subscribers ranging from 500-5,00,000. 📍 The fewer subscribers a creator has, the more bonus points are applied when you hype. Ah,I miss the trending button already. According to YouTube official blog "In just the first four weeks of our beta tests in Turkey, Taiwan, and Brazil, users hyped over 5 million times across more than 50,000 unique channels. Plus, the largest age group hyping videos in our beta is 18 to 24-year-olds, making up over 30% of all beta users." So what do you think about this.
