Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and X, is reportedly preparing to launch a TV app akin to YouTube, designed for Amazon and Samsung smart TVs. Musk shared a tweet on X, teasing the forthcoming app with the caption "Coming Soon." The app's interface, according to an unnamed source at X, is said to closely resemble that of Google's YouTube TV application, signaling Musk's intention to rival YouTube. YouTube notably held the title of the most-watched streaming platform in 2023. Last October, Musk released a preliminary version of the app to select users to trial video and audio calling functionalities, as part of his broader vision to transform the app into a comprehensive "super app" encompassing messaging and online payment features.
